Here is one of the works in progress that I'm trying to finish up for my art sale next week. I thought it was such a cute dog, waiting at the door for his Mom to come home. A face I usually see on my own dog when he's waiting for my return. The sad look says it all.
Hope you aren't keeping your loved one waiting! Have a great day!

Oh just the cutest, lovely painting. Kim
That's so true about animals especially dogs, they miss us when we are gone.
Such a fantastic painting! Gorgeous puppy. :)
AwwwwWWWwww. He does have a pitiful look about him. Hope she comes home soon! :D Beautifully done!

They are so sweet how they worry. What a sweet expression. Happy PPF
Oh those eyes say it all! Well done.
You have perfectly executed the expression of this type of dog, terrific painting. Happy PPF, Annette x
How sweet, Denise! You've done a wonderful job of capturing that look that awaiting dogs seem to have. Beautiful.
Those eyes DO say it all:-)
you have portrayed a sweet spirit in this painting
All those emotions - but happy in the end because we know you are coming home. I really like this painting.
Wonderful painting!
You really captured that feeling of longing.
I'm such a canine fan!! :)

Just awesome painting, it captures the expression of the dog beautifully!
So endearing! I've seen that look too;)
Awww, so sweet and sad. I have a little 18 month old Mini Aussie and this reminds me of her. When I leave she's all bummed but when I return she wants love for 10-15 min. Poor thing must think I'm never coming back. I'd take her everywhere if I could. Love your painting! You've captured the dogs feelings very well. Happy PPF!
Nice. I've seen that look before. The eyes say it all. Terah
Love it, thanks for sharing!
Forgive me for posting this comment so late, Denni - this is a lovely and wonderful painting, and you've expressed 'that look' so perfectly. My eldest cat pulls a face similar to this whenever I'm about to head out the door, which always causes me to get a bit sad and angst-y too, as I don't like leaving my 'boys' even for a little while.
Thanks for sharing this, Denni, and I'm looking forward to hearing all about your art show next week. Have a lovely weekend! - June
I'm looking for this I saw on a card with a oic of a real dog looking said. I feel that way. I have emptynest syndrome:(
