Painting

I have not blogged in quite awhile.  This is the longest I've gone without blogging since I began in late September.

I felt I needed a break and that I needed to focus on my life.  Even though I enjoy blogging, it has become a little obsessive.  Not only in blogging myself but in reading and commenting on other people's blogs.

I know a lot of people talk about this and now I really know it is true.  Blogging is addictive.  I was sucked into the virtual black hole of the computer.

Although I enjoy blogging I must admit, it took me away from my first love which is painting.  I haven't created one painting since I started my blog.

So in my hiatus, I went back to painting.

In fact, I began an online painting class that pulled me away from the blog and into the art world again.

Here is the frenzy of art that I've created in my blog break...

I've also made a few journals.  Here are a couple and some journal pages within.

I hope you enjoyed the show!
Have a lovely day wherever you are!

I love your smile :)

Monkey's enjoy the companionship of a pet.  I think the tiger is enjoying the monkey as well.

A dog after my own heart!

We heart it.

I have an affinity for rabbits, I had quite a few of them growing up.

This is about as happy as you will see a bunny, but they are pleasant little souls.

New Year's Day

I wanted to write a fantastic post for New Year's Eve but I had the flu yesterday.  My last day of 2010 was spent high on NyQuil, with 102 fever,  hallucinating in the New Year!  I'm much better this morning, and feel so happy basking in the morning sunlight streaming in my bedroom window.

Maybe it's the remnants of NyQuil, but all I feel is happy today.  Happy about what has passed in 2010,  and a great big smile of hope for the upcoming new year.

No long list of resolutions, no ramblings about letting go of past mistakes.  Just happiness.

Be the happy in your new year!

Peace
