Under the Harvest Moon

Funny how when you aren't even trying, something works.  Here is a mixed media painting I made last night.  It still needs some finishing touches.

It's made from painted papers that I made a few days ago.  The paint is Golden acrylic, painted on magazine paper.  I cut and ripped various pieces.  Cut out the tree and the moon and glued it to a canvas with Collage Matte decoupage finish.   This one may get a spot on my header since it is a harvest moon.     :)

Went down to the beach yesterday too.  Took these photos of the ocean. It is unseasonably warm here in NY.  I'm amazed at the quality photos that my android can take.

This is Robert Moses State Park aka The Atlantic Ocean.  So peaceful.  Ahh, breathe in! Let us all enjoy the small moments today!

We can be happy right where we are, in this moment.

Peace....

Caio!

Dreamy. I can almost smell the sea.

Denni; I LOVE your blog and yes, I want to attempt every DIY in magazines I can find. It's a little overwhelming when I find myself sitting on the floor in a sea of mixed media bits and scraps, glue guns and glitter all ready to start the project!

Take much care- you are on my list and I hope I'm on yours! You are so very lucky to be next to water - I'm in the mountains!

Beautiful post Denise. I LOVE that bird in your banner (sorry, I just had to say that)... now back to your post... I really like your art piece, very colorful and full of expression.
That beach looks amazing... I wish I was close to the water!
Hugs and many blessings

I love your piece. The colors are so inviting. So is the picture of the ocean. I grew up going to the Jersey shore and it is still one of my favorite places in the world.
