It just wouldn't be Christmas to me without this book.  It holds such great memories for me.  It is over 55 years old and was a favorite in my family.  The cover is torn and the back cover has fallen off .  All from years of use by my sisters and I.  I remember reading it over and over again and again.  Never tiring of these illustrations.  To this day I still love it and admire the artwork by Gyo Fujikawa.

 It was Passed down to my older nieces and nephews who are now adults.  I've read it to my kids every year when they were small.  Now, it sits on my Christmas mantle for decoration and here on this post for all of you to enjoy as well...:)
